Jai Dhyani

Executive Director

Jai worked on RE-Bench at METR through MATS 6.0, which became part of the METR AI time-horizons chart. His previous project was Luthien, a free open-source API-level AI-control platform; the experience of building it motivated much of this agenda, and the post-mortem is public.

Crystal Stellwagen

Research Engineer

Crystal is an experienced software engineer who spends even more time reading papers and running steering-vector experiments than Jai does.

Katherine Cohen

Board Chair

Katherine Cohen serves as Chair of the Board of Separatrix. She studied mathematics at Duke University, where an interest in automated theorem proving first drew her into discussions about AI development and led to over a decade of involvement in the rationality and AI safety communities. She is particularly excited to support the exploration of cooperative approaches to aligning frontier AI systems.

Keller Scholl

Director

Keller Scholl received his M.A. from Oxford and his Ph.D. from RAND, where he studied the economics of artificial intelligence, with a focus on shifting consumer demand and task-specific models of AI-related occupational shifts. He's an independent policy analyst, a fellow of the Frontier Security Institute, and has written for RAND, Transformer, Asterisk, Works in Progress, and Responsible Statecraft. He lives in Alexandria with his husband and a somewhat excessive quantity of medieval weaponry.
